1) What is a widget?
A widget is a small desktop application that provides useful information without getting in your way. For example, the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!® Widget provides a daily recipe, a recipe search and a daily message to help streamline your meal planning.
2) What are the system requirements to install and run the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!® Widget?
You must have the following to download and run the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!® Widget:
Note: This widget is not MAC compatible.
- Windows XP with Service Pack 2, or Windows Vista
- An internet connection and preferably a constant connection such as DSL or Cable
- Microsoft .NET 2.0 Framework, which will be installed with the download if your computer does not already have it.
3) How do I access the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!® Widget?
Once the widget is installed, simply double click the widget icon on your desktop or the tub icon in your system tray to open it. Or you can open your start menu, click programs and select the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!® Recipe Widget.
4) My widget isn't working properly. What do I do?
Confirm that you are connected to the internet. If you are connected to the internet you can try repairing or uninstalling the widget (see FAQ 9). If that does not work, please contact us with a detailed description of your problem.
5) Do I need to be connected to the internet to use the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!® Widget?
Yes! In order to receive the recipe of the day and daily message you need to have an internet connection.
6) What does the yellow tub icon that appears in my system tray at the bottom right of my screen mean?
The icon in your system tray allows you quick and easy access to the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!® Recipe Widget. Simply double click this icon to open it.
7) Can I stop receiving the daily messages?
No. The alerts are not customizable, so you cannot turn them on or off.
8) Can I save recipes from the widget?
Click on the recipe title within the widget. You will be taken to the full recipe, where you can then save it to Your Recipe Box. If you don't have a Recipe Box create one now!
9) How do I remove the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!® Recipe Widget?
1) Be sure that you are fully closed out of the widget. If the tub icon is in your system tray then the widget is still open. Close it by clicking your right mouse button over the tub icon and then select 'Exit Widget'.
2) Click on 'Control Panel.'
3) Select 'Add or Remove Programs.'
4) Select the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!® Recipe Widget.
5) Click on 'Remove'.
7) Select 'Yes'.
